What is Plarn? Plarn is a mission opportunity that began in 2022 at CHUMC. A group of volunteers gather on Tuesday morning at the church to make "Plarn" (plastic + yarn) mats for the homeless population. The mats not only help recycle old plastic bags, but are a good deterrent against It takes about 750 bags for one mat. Many mats have been distributed to organizations throughout Kingsport in the last year.
