Rev. Robert Burlingham joins us from Cassidy UMC in Kingsport.

Jim Lyon

Director of Music Ministries

I have a BS in Music Ed. & ME in Reading from ETSU. I've pursued an MM from the University of N. Texas and has taken theology classes from Emmanuel School of Religion. My wife, Janet, and I met on stage as the leads in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro". She also holds a degree in music and is Director of Music at Mafair UMC. Our son, Devin, has a double major in Philosophy/Pol. Science and a minor in piano performance from Vanderbilt University. He is accompanist at CHUMC, Knoxville and is pursuing a degree in Law and an MBA at UT Knoxville. Perhaps Jim relates best to Jubal, the first musician mentioned in the Hebrew Bible and/or Thomas in the Christian Bible.

Danny Fleming

Church Administrator/Organist

Dana Fleming completed a degree in organ performance from Virginia Intermont College. He has served as organist at Mafair UMC, Church Street UMC Knoxville, staff accompanist at Carson Newman College and UT Knoxville, and organist/music assistant at First UMC Oak Ridge. The Bible character I most relate to is the angel Gabriel because an internet quiz told me so.

Jane Miller

Administrative Assistant

I grew up in the Washington, DC area and have a B.S. degree in Business from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. I have lived in Kingsport for the past 7 years with my son, Joshua. We enjoy water skiing, biking and hiking. The Bible character I relate to the most is Martha because I tend to focus on the things that are unimportant and lose sight of what is important.

Kristen Osborne

Director of Youth Ministries

I am married to my very own Prince Charming, Jeremy, and we have wonderful, 4-year-old, miracle twins, Karson and Brady. I hold a B.A. in English and Secondary Education from Carson-Newman College and a Masters degree in Education from East Tennessee State University. I love working with students, and I feel so blessed to be able to share and teach what I am most passionate about-----Jesus Christ!! “God is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine!” Ephesians 3:20

Dana Miller

Director of Children's Ministries

My undergraduate degrees are in Biblical Studies and Special Education and I’ve spent my adult life working with children in school and church settings. I’ve been married to my husband, Jeff, for 23 years and we have two lovely daughters, Danielle & Cassady. I enjoy hiking area trails with my family & friends. Bible Character I most identify with: Martha. I like to be busy but I should sit, be still and listen more.

Kathy Livesay

Financial Administrator

I've been married since 1984 to my best friend, Rusty. Other than being quite involved at my home church, I enjoy scrapbooking, making bracelets, and riding the motorcycle with my husband. I've been the financial administrator at CHUMC since 2002.
