I used to be just much quicker to have an opinion and fall into the judgmental mode than I am now. Cancer, loss of a spouse, age, and one more thing has taught me to at least “consider an alternative!” The one more thing was an event in the church where some things were not done properly and I got more than just a little upset. Shall we say I expressed it? And, I was clearly in the right. The problem was I was so right that I was obnoxiously wrong and wound up with a real situation.

It has always been fascinating to me to note how often I/we are as much a part of the problem as all of “them” happen to be.

A local church needs at its core to be a community of love. One of our members said to me the other day that we need to fall in love with one another. Folk, that will preach. Better than that, it will live!
